How to choose a borrower on Kiva

The question is : do you want to take any risk or not ?

The repayment rate is almost 99%, so you'll be very unlucky if the total of your loan won't get repaid, but that can happen.

If you want to lend more than $25, let's say $75, it's better to dispatch this amount in 3 different ($25) loans/countries/activities.
Then you must decide if you want to make a long term loan, of about 12 to 18 months or higher, or a short one, between 5 to 8 months.

Do you prefer to give lend to one person or to a group of person ? A group of person is safer, of course, they won't get hit by a car all at the same time for example.

Do you have a preference for a specific continent or country ? Follow your heart.
You can also take a look at the list of loans already made and find some country which is not on the list (the hidden goal is to cover the maximum of countries).

Look at the partner statistics
